An attacker could also exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to the device through an HTTP connection, such as a malicious web-based request or an email message. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to send malicious requests to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN server and cause the server to crash and restart, resulting in the failure of the established HTTP connections and forcing remote users to initiate a new HTTP connection and re-authenticate. A sustained attack could prevent new HTTP connections from being established.
