Known Issues



If you install a 3rd party software/firmware update during system boot, the update may fail and your system will reset. This issue does not occur if you install the software/firmware update after your system has been turned off. To work around this issue, perform the following steps:

Shut down your system and then press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds. The system will then go into Safe Mode, and you can install the update without any problems.

Some users may experience a BSOD when booting into Windows 10, with an error code of 0xc0000005. This is a known issue with Windows 10 and has been reported to Microsoft.

Some wireless devices may not work correctly when connected via USB on the Intel NUC Kit. This may be due to a firmware/BIOS setting that restricts the system from using USB devices when plugged in via USB. This issue does not occur when the system is powered via the wall outlet. To work around this issue, you can try disabling the restriction in the BIOS/firmware, or you can use a USB extension cable that does not have this restriction.

Installing Updates

If you are installing updates from the Windows Update site and your update fails to install, or your system crashes when you start installing the update, try performing the following troubleshooting steps:

You may see a blue screen with an error code of 0x7c000019. This is related to the update KB3135173 that was recently released for Windows 10, but this issue does not occur when there are no updates to install.
