A local attacker could use this flaw to sign malicious applications with a user’s Windows CNG Key, which could then be used to unlock and access files on the system. The issue does not affect Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 systems. Windows 10 users are protected from the Windows CNG Key Isolation Service Elevation of Privilege vulnerability by the latest update.
