What is TensorFlow?

TensorFlow is an open source software library for numerical computation using data flow graphs. It was initially developed by researchers and engineers working on the Google Brain team to enable and automate machine learning on large-scale machine systems such as neural networks, deep neural networks, computer vision, speech recognition and natural language processing. TensorFlow also includes mechanisms for dynamic program optimization.

TensorFlow is used in production at many companies - including Google, Airbnb, Snapchat, Spotify, The New York Times, Twitter and Uber. It has also been widely adopted by academic institutions worldwide.
