To protect against this threat, the Firefox 108 default theme has been updated to ensure that the cursor is drawn outside of the browser UI. As part of this update, the cursor has been modified to be less visible on dark-colored themes, such as the default dark theme. Firefox users are encouraged to upgrade to the latest version, which is actively being rolled out.
An updated version of the Firefox default theme is now available for downloading from the Firefox Add-ons site.

Mozilla's stance on default themes
Mozilla is notifying Firefox users that the 108th default theme has been updated to ensure that the cursor is no longer drawn outside of the browser UI.
The current release of the Firefox 108th default theme makes use of a new color palette which results in less contrast with dark-colored themes, such as the default dark theme. The change in color palette was made to increase security.
The update is being actively rolled out and Firefox users are encouraged to upgrade to the latest version.
What is a custom theme?
Custom themes are available on Firefox and can be used to change the appearance of the browser. Themes determine the color scheme, fonts, icons, the user interface layout, and other visual aspects of a browser.
Setting your theme to dark or light
Different themes have different effects on the window. For example, a dark-colored theme will make the cursor and other UI elements easier to see.
If you want to adjust your theme settings, you can do so by following these instructions:
1. Open Firefox.
2. Choose Customize from the top menu and select Theme settings.
3. Under General settings, choose Dark or Light from the drop-down menu for Cursor color (default is Dark).
What to do if you’re still seeing the cursor in Firefox
If you are still seeing the cursor inside the browser UI, it is likely that you have installed one of the third-party themes. You can disable any themes you have installed:
Go to “about:config” in the address bar and type “theme.cursor” in the filter field
Double-click on it to change its value from true to false
