Adobe Bridge CC 2017 Vulnerabilities andmitigation strategies
Adobe recently released an update to Adobe Bridge CC 2017 that addresses the vulnerabilities originally reported in CVE-2017-11781 through CVE-2017-11783. There are currently no known exploits of these vulnerabilities but they could be used by malicious third parties to compromise systems running Adobe Bridge CC 2017.
Fortunately, there are mitigation strategies as outlined below:
1) This issue is mitigated on affected systems through a system restart.
2) If this issue is not mitigated through a system restart, then it can be mitigated by disabling the "Use Audible Alerts" option in the "Bridge Preferences" section of Bridge CC 2017's settings menu.
3) Administrators are advised to monitor for anomalous behavior from systems running Adobe Bridge CC 2017 and promptly contact Technology Support when they are observed.
